Catharine & Kevin | Engaged

Early morning sessions normally aren't my thing but between these two & that light, I might schedule them more often.

Catharine & Kevin met in college during an anatomy class & have been dating for nearly 3 years. Now they are planning a small & intimate Spring wedding. I have photographed them both individually but never together. And what a treat that was to finally have that opportunity.

We met up for their engagement session at Springhill College & walked along the avenue of grand oaks with their precious pup, Ava. Enjoy a few of my favorites from their session!

Christy & Tyler | Engaged

I knew the moment that I met Christy (over coffee of course) & we started talking about our boys that we'd have so much fun together.

Christy is finishing up her degree in Physical Therapy & Tyler is working on his PhD in cancer research, both at the University of South Alabama. She grew up in Louisiana & completed her undergrad at LSU, while he chose one of her rival schools in Alabama - ahem, Roll Tide! Which actually brings us to how they met! These two met at a tailgate party for the LSU/Bama game a few years ago & agreed to look beyond each other's flaws. ;) Tyler's best advice to surviving football season in a house divided? Watch the game separately.

We met for their engagement session at the Avenue of Oaks on Springhill College's campus. And they brought their pup, Scout, along too! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their session as you & I both eagerly await their spring wedding. 

Fun fact: Christy & Tyler share their wedding date with one of Britain's royal couples, Meghan Markle & Prince Harry. May 19th, 2018 will certainly be one for the books & I cannot wait!

Ariel & Mark | Engaged

I believe in date nights spent at home. Curled up on the couch. Swimming in a sea of cozy blankets. A bucket of buttery popcorn in the middle. And you're letting him choose the movie tonight because you chose last time. It's been a long week & as much as you'd love to put on that new sundress & go out you know you need to slow down. To reconnect with the one who captured your heart months ago. So you stay in.

Ariel & Mark met a few years ago & the rest is history. They enjoy date nights spent at home, too. I think far too often we get caught up in always going that we forget the importance of quality time. So we intentionally traveled to where the ocean meets the shore for one of the sweetest sunset engagement sessions. 

If this engagement session was any indication as to what this weekend holds I cannot wait! See you two on Saturday!

Stephanie & Ryan | Engaged

I love to travel. To see the world beyond my comfort zone here in South Alabama. In college I had the opportunity to backpack through Europe for class credit (yeah - how awesome is that?!) & last summer I cruised the ocean blue to photograph a one-of-a-kind wedding. There's just something about collecting stamps in that little passport that brings my heart to life. And I love when my couples have that same passion burning within them too.

Stephanie & Ryan are the definition of world travelers. These two have been to places like Italy, England,  & Scotland just to name a few. So it was only fitting that their proposal take place on one of their overseas adventures. In April, Ryan asked Stephanie to be his wife. She said YES! And now they are planning their very own wedding day for spring of 2018.

Ah! Ryan picked out the most perfect ring for his girl. Isn't it stunning?!

I cannot wait to celebrate these two world travelers next spring! Congrats on your engagement!

Callie & Jordan | Engaged

I believe in forehead kisses that take you back to the moment you first fell in love. Full of sweetness, surrender & respect. Recalling that time when you almost gave up on finding love until he came along & swept you off your feet. Feeling the flutter of butterflies when he calls you "babe" & reaches for your hand on his parents' back porch. Grab hold & don't let go, adventures await.

These two may look familiar to you because this spring I captured Callie's senior session that ended in a proposal! Ah! (*Check it out here!)

Callie, like me, adores all things Southern. And nothing shouts "Southern" quiet like a white house complete with a wrap-around porch & large oak trees drenched in Spanish moss. Insert the The Swift-Coles Historic Home as the perfect backdrop for their session. Super excited to capture Callie & Jordan's wedding day this fall! Savannah & Robert | Engaged

Savannah & Robert are getting married in just four days! Ah!

Last month we met up at their wedding reception venue, Stewartfield, for a sweet engagement session. We laughed & embraced the cooler weather brought on by a few early morning showers.

These two met as freshman in college & they've been together ever since. They knew early on that marriage was in their future & are looking forward to saying 'I Do' surrounded by their closest friends & family.
